Courtesy translation. This site is operated from Brazil and this notice follows Brazilian copyright law. In case of any discrepancy between this text and the original, the Portuguese version prevails.
Everything published on maiastudios.com.br — articles, text, images, sample code and the site's visual identity — is authored by Luiz Eduardo, except where another source is credited on the page itself. Protection follows Brazilian Copyright Law (Law 9.610/1998).
1. What is protected
The blog articles, the page copy, the MAIA STUDIOS name and brand, the Maialinux project and the site design (layout, typography, palette and graphic elements) are original work. Publishing them here does not place any of it in the public domain.
2. What you may do without asking
- Read, print and save the articles for personal use or study.
- Share the link to any page, anywhere.
- Quote short excerpts in your own writing, as long as the quote is marked as such and carries the author's name and a link to the original page.
- Use, adapt and redistribute the code blocks from the articles in your own projects, including commercial ones, with no attribution required. They are published as teaching examples and are free for that — which is not the case for the surrounding text.
3. What is not allowed
- Republishing a whole article, or most of one, on another site, newsletter or social network — even with credit, and even without commercial intent.
- Using the text to train, fine-tune or feed artificial intelligence models without written permission.
- Translating and publishing the content in another language without permission.
- Using the name, brand or visual identity in a way that suggests a partnership, sponsorship or endorsement that does not exist.
- Removing or altering authorship notices and credits.
4. Images
The article images and the Maialinux screenshots are produced for this site and carry a source line below each one. When an image comes from a third party, its own credit appears next to it, and the licence terms of that source apply instead of these.
5. Software
Maialinux is a Debian-based remaster and bundles third-party programs, each under its own free licence — mostly the GPL. This notice does not apply to those programs: their original licences remain in force and ship with the distribution.
6. Requesting permission
To republish, translate or use the content in any way not covered by section 2, write to contato@maiastudios.com.br describing the intended use. Honest reuse requests are usually granted.
7. Misuse
If you find content from this site published elsewhere without permission, or if you believe something published here infringes your rights, write to the same address with the page link, the material in question and a description of the problem. Anything published in error is taken down once verified.
